VENERI GENETRICI.  Venus standing facing, holding a Victory, who carries a trophy, and placing her l. hand on a large shield, resting on a helmet.  The shield is adorned with the head of Medusa, and the sceptre rests on her l. arm.  Obv.  HADRIANVS AVG. COS. III P. P.  Bust of Hadrian, bare to r. [or head bare to l.] with paludamentus and cuirass AV (60 frcs.)

VENERI GENETRICI. Same type; but on the shield Aeneas carrying Anchises and holding his son by the hand.  Obv. HADRIANVS AVG. COS. III. P.P.  Head of Hadrian to r., bare AE Med (Coll. de M. le Comte Tyskiewich, 600 frcs)

VENERI GENETRICI (on some specimens GENTRICI). Venus standing ro r. lifting her robe on to her shoulder with her l, hand and holding an apple.  Obv. SABINA AVGSTA, Bust of Sabina to r., diademed.  AR (2frcs).

VENERI GENETRICI. Venus standing to left, holding an apple and sceptre. Obv. FASTINA AVG. [or AVGVSTA] PII AVG. FIL.  Bust of Faustina II to r. AV. (Brit. Mus. 50 frcs)

VENERI GENETRICI. Venus standing to l., holding an apple and an infant in swaddling clothes.  Obv.  FAVSTINA AVG. [or AVGVSTA] ANTONINI AVG. PII FIL.  Bust of Faustina II. to r., sometimes with diadem.  AV (Brit. Mus., 50 frcs)

VENERI GENETRICI. Venus standing to left, holding a patera and a sceptre. Obv. IVILA AVGVSTA, head of Julia Domna to r., AV. (200 frcs)

VENERI GENETRICI. Venus standing to l., holding an apple.  Obv. IVILA PIA FELIX AVG. [or IVILA AVGVSTA]  Bust of Julia Domna to r. AR (c to 3 frcs).  A similar type occurs in AE I. (8 frcs)
